Sarah E. Jones is a Government Affairs Manager at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. In this role, she represents Horizon BCBSNJ before the New Jersey Legislature and various New Jersey departments and agencies. Prior to joining Horizon BCBSNJ, Ms. Jones, an attorney, served as Director of Government Affairs for Cablevision. She previously worked as District Director for Congressman Donald Payne, Jr. where she fostered and maintained relationships with elected officials, trade associations and community organizations.

Ms. Jones has strong, longstanding relationships throughout the State of New Jersey. Her previous experience includes working for Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. as his Essex County Field Representative and the late Congressman Donald Payne, Sr. She has also worked as an election attorney on several local and statewide campaigns.

Ms. Jones began her legal career as a law clerk to Superior Court Judge Michael J. Nelson. She also served as Associate Counsel at Hunt, Hamlin and Ridley, Senior Counsel at the Newark Housing Authority, and Counsel to the Council President for the City of Newark.

After earning her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Richard Stockton University, Ms. Jones went on to receive her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey. She resides in Essex County.
